The Pitt was developed by an EM doc and the medical details were written by a group of docs who educate other EM docs (EMrap.com). It is by far the most realistic show about EM I've ever seen. Can't watch it since it feels like working again. Only quibble I have is how much the students and residents know on demand...it's not like that in real life.
I figured you guys would know each other. Part of the fun of reading his book was seeing people mentioned that I know even though I have never met Dana.
Did you go the Mike Splane chess parties that are a major theme of Dana’s blog/book?
I didn't know Mike outside of one tournament game we played in his later years. He and Dana both play(ed) unorthodox and uncompromising chess, you can tell that they spent a lot of time working on chess together.
Really enjoyed that interview with NM Dana. Was a great listen

I've known Dana a long time, excited to listen to your interview with him and to check out his book!
