FIDE World Cup wrap up, Chess Book Reviews & more
Hi everyone! What an entertaining World Cup! Unless I misheard, GM Daniel Naroditsky said that Chess.com had over 200,000 concurrent viewers for yesterday’s finale! It was well-deserved for a tournament that is always fascinating (despite any grumbling about whether Candidates spots should be allocated based on the tournament, etc.) Otherwise, the chess world marches on. Have a good weekend everyone, here are this week’s chess links:

Book Reviews
GM Alex Colovic on what he learned from the book Chess for Life. “ I grew up reading a lot of Russian books on chess where it was stressed that you should define your weaknesses and then you work on them until they are no more. So that's what I did… But by concentrating too much of my weaknesses I never discovered my strengths.” (GM Alex Colovic’s Substack)
